TCGA Cancer Drivers prediction benchmark
The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) is a joint effort to characterize cancer driver genes in 33 different cancer types from nearly 10,000 exomes. In such an effort, several methods for predicting cancer genes are constantly being developed and improved. This benchmarking service evalute these methods.
TCGA Cancer Drivers is an OpenEBench Benchmarking Workflow that evaluates cancer driver genes prediction tools, in terms of 'true positive rate' and 'precision', for 33 different cancer types. When new predictions are submitted to the server using this workflow, the correspondent metrics are computed and benchmarked against the rest of the participants currently engaged in TCGA, allowing the user to visualize the results in plot format and apply several classification methods in order to transform the results to table format.
